Harley and Andrew’s Jacksonville wedding was the perfect reflection of who they are as a couple: fun-loving, joyful, classic, and effortlessly timeless.
A Classic Jacksonville Church Wedding
They chose to celebrate their wedding inside a Baptist church in Jacksonville, Florida. While the space was not specifically designed as a traditional wedding venue, it became the perfect backdrop for a day filled with meaningful moments, laughter, and plenty of personality.
Their style was classic and elegant, with subtle country touches woven throughout. Nothing felt overly trendy or themed. Every detail simply felt like Harley and Andrew.
A Wedding Filled With Personality
One of our favorite parts of their day was how naturally their personalities came through during portraits.
The bridesmaids spontaneously broke into Going to the Chapel while celebrating Harley and Andrew, turning portraits into one of the sweetest and most unexpected moments of the day. Meanwhile, the groomsmen kept us laughing the entire time.
These are the moments that make wedding days so special. They are not always on the timeline, but they are often the memories couples remember most.
A Little Creativity Goes a Long Way
Our second shooter, Makenah Collins, also came up with one of our favorite creative ideas of the day.
She spotted the cross arrangement in the church and suggested placing Harley’s wedding dress on it for a dramatic detail photograph. The only catch was that it was about 11 feet in the air!
With my brother-in-law assisting and climbing the ladder, we made it happen, and the resulting photographs were absolutely worth the effort.
It was one of those behind-the-scenes moments that perfectly represents wedding photography. Sometimes you have to get creative with the space you are given to create something truly unforgettable.
The Perfect Amount of Coverage
Harley and Andrew chose a hybrid photography and videography experience with LUX Photo + Film, including eight hours of wedding day coverage.
Having both photography and film allowed us to preserve their day from every angle. Their photographs capture the timeless portraits, details, relationships, and candid moments, while their film brings back the movement, voices, and emotion of the day.
Together, they created a complete story of a wedding that was classic, joyful, and completely their own.
